for the first time, gaëtan vandewoude handed over the production for an entire album to someone else. that someone else is none other than his close friend and bandmate chantal acda, who brought a fresh perspective with new sounds and musicians. under her guidance, the songs on this album evolved naturally, resulting in a warm, acoustic album that instinctively connects the band members playing on this record.

'away you go' is a heartfelt tribute to our friend geert maris, the founder and frontman of nona mez. his unexpected passing has profoundly impacted us, and this song is our way of honoring his memory and the times we shared growing up together. 

this song is more than just an expression of grief; it's a celebration of geert's life — the songs he wrote, the jokes he told and the spirit he brought into the world. it's for anyone who has experienced the pain of losing a loved one.

After years of anticipation, we're excited to finally release both the music and video for our song "Celebration." The video, filmed by Droomelaer & Levi Lenaerts, captures the raw energy from soundchecks to live performances. Although recorded long ago, every frame celebrates the magic of a band connecting with its audience. "Celebration," briefly heard on the radio in 2013, is now officially available for the first time as a 7-inch single and digitally for Record Store Day 2024, along with the new indie-folk track "The More The Merrier."
